風速計風速計anemometer測量空氣流速的儀器。它的種類較多,氣象臺站最常用的為風杯風速計,它由3個互成120°固定在支架上的拋物錐空杯組成感應部分,空杯的凹面都順向一個方向。整個感應部分安裝在一根垂直旋轉軸上,在風力的作用下,風杯繞軸以正比于風速的轉速旋轉。另一種旋轉式風速計為旋槳式風速計,由一個三葉或四葉螺旋槳組成感應部分,將其安裝在一個風向標的前端,使它隨時對準風的來向。槳葉繞水平軸以正比于風速的轉速旋轉。常用的風速計類型還有:利用被加熱物體的散熱率與風速相關原理制成的熱線風速計;利用聲波傳布速度受風速影響因而增加和減低原理制成的超聲波風速表。
