半導體激光泵浦的激光晶體半導體激光泵浦的激光晶體LD pumped laser crystal  半導體激光泵浦的激光晶體LD PumPed lasercrystal適用于半導體二極管作泵浦源的激光晶體。傳統的固體激光器一般用閃光燈泵浦,由于閃光燈的發光區域寬,只有一部分能量被吸收后轉換成激光,大部分轉換成熱量,使工作物質溫度上升,惡化了輸出激光束的質量。半導體激光器輸出的激光譜線窄(一般為幾納米),選擇合適的半導體激光器,使其激光光譜與某種固體激光材料的吸收光譜匹配,即可達到高效泵浦,大大減輕固體工作物質的熱負荷。 因為半導體激光器光泵區域小,需用的晶體尺寸也小,因此要求基質晶體內可摻入的激活離子濃度要高,且不產生濃度碎滅。此外,要求與光泵的半導體激光波長相匹配的晶體的吸收帶要寬,吸收系數要大;要有低的闌值功率;Q開關運轉時,熒光壽命要長。當泵浦光源從閃光燈改變為半導體激光二極管時,對被泵浦的激光晶體產生了不同的要求。用閃光燈泵浦時,對材料的熱性能和機械性能有嚴格要求,而半導體泵浦則更注重材料的光譜性能。 在已使用的激光晶體中,摻錢石榴石(Nd:YAG)晶體的闌值功率低,光學質量高,是應用于半導體激光光泵的固體激光器的主要材料。由于Nd3+離子在基質晶體中受分凝系數的限制,Nd3+離子濃度不能太高,所以一些氟化物和鎢、鑰酸鹽晶體等摻雜濃度高,激光效率高,熒光壽命長,有可能成為半導體激光泵浦的后選晶體。 用半導體泵浦可制成效率高、功率和頻率穩定、激光束質量好、壽命長的全固化激光器,并經各種頻率轉換技術,可發展成各種波長、各種模式、各種運轉方式的激光器,這種激光器將在很大范圍內取代已有的各類固體、液體和氣體激光器。 (沈鴻元)
