拉普拉塔河拉普拉塔河LaPlata,Riode南美洲東南海岸的河口灣。介于阿根廷和烏拉圭兩國之間,由巴拉那河與烏拉圭河匯注而成,向東南流入大西洋。自兩河匯流點至圣安東尼奧角和埃斯特角之間的河口線,全長(直線距離)290千米。因近代下沉作用,河口呈世型喇叭狀三角港。水面寬廣,面積達3.5萬平方千米,河口線處寬223千米,為世界上最寬的河口之一。流域面積13.56萬平方千米,實際流域面積(包括兩大源流)為323萬平方千米。年平均流量2.35萬立方米/秒。由于兩大源流巴拉那河和烏拉圭河水量充沛,富含泥沙,使拉普拉塔河泥沙淤積量每年可達600萬立方米,形成眾多沙洲和淺灘。河床較淺,至河口線附近漸加深至18米。水位變化受支流的影響較小,受海潮和風向較大。海潮可沿河上溯至兩大源流下游;在布宜諾斯艾利斯附近,平均潮差0.79米,最大潮差可達5.24米。每刮西南風時,南岸河水低落,北岸水位上升;而刮東南風時,南岸低洼處常遭淹沒。河岸較為曲折,多港灣和岬角。北岸地勢高。
