廣東東莞可園景東莞可園與順德清暉園、番禺余蔭山房、佛山梁園合稱廣東近代四大名園。它始建于清朝道光三十年（公元1850年），特點是面積小、設計精巧，把住宅、客廳、別墅、庭院、花圃、書齋，藝術地揉合在一起。在 三畝三（2204平方）土地上，亭臺樓閣，山水橋榭，廳堂軒院，一并俱全。它雖是木石、青磚結構，但建筑十分講究，窗雕、欄桿、美人靠，甚至地板亦各俱風格。它布局高低錯落，處處相通，曲折回環，撲朔迷離。基調是空處有景，疏處不虛，小中見大，密而不逼，靜中有趣，幽而有芳。加上擺設清新文雅，占水栽花，極富南方特色，是廣東園林的珍品。可園創建人張敬修投筆從戎，官至江西按察使署理布政使，金石書畫、琴棋詩賦，樣樣精通，又廣邀文人雅集，使可園成為廣東近代的文化策源地之一。居巢、居廉在可園十年創造沒骨法、撞粉法畫花鳥畫，并予傳授，為嶺南畫派開創先河。今天，可園成為國家重點文物保護單位。1997年，在東莞市委、市政府的重視關懷下，可園景區從原來的5.5畝（3630平方米）擴大到30畝（20000平方米），經過不斷完善，更加可人。
