巴納德巴納德（1922～）Barnard，Christiaan（Neethling）南非醫生。1922年11月8日生于南非西博福特。1946年畢業于開普敦大學獲醫學學士學位，1953年獲該校醫學博士學位。1953～1956年在開普敦一家醫院任外科醫師。1956～1958年在美國明尼蘇達大學進修心胸外科，并獲該校哲學博士學位。回國后，開展體外循環直視心臟手術及外科大手術后的重癥監護工作；設計了沿用至今的人工三尖瓣及主動脈瓣；首創大血管完全轉位和三尖瓣畸形的手術治療技術，使先天性心臟病的手術治療效果大為提高。1967年11月3日他領導的小組把一名死于車禍者的心臟移植給一位心臟病人，手術十分成功，但因用免疫抑制劑破壞了患者的免疫功能，患者術后18天死于肺炎。以后移植成功率逐漸提高。1974年12月3日進行世界上首例并位心臟移植術。參與籌建美國弗吉尼亞州費爾法克斯醫院心臟移植中心等。著有《常見先天性心臟畸形的外科治療》、《冠心病須知》、《人體機器》、《南非剖析》等。
